As the higher education community celebrates HBCU Week (Sept. 21-25), North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T) is among the ACE member institutions in the news for promoting education excellence and innovation.
A&T is already the nation’s largest HBCU, but it is now working to increase its enrollment even further by expanding and emphasizing distance education.
The expansion is specifically marketed to working professionals, active-duty military members and veterans, and international students. It aims to help students prepare to compete on a global level and embrace the ways in which technology advances higher education.
The university’s updated distance learning website features 17 online degree programs, including bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs.
A&T is just one of the many HBCUs throughout the country doing exemplary work. Follow the conversation on Twitter at #HBCUWeek to learn more.
